Ultimate Dubs 2024

I always look forward to this show as it is not only 15 minutes up the road for me, but it also marks the start of car show season.

For many people it is a chance to see the whats new and catch up and socialise with friends old and new.

The show takes place at the International Centre in the heart of Telford, Shropshire. It is ideally located 5 minutes walk from the shops, bars and restaurants, as well as being accessible by the local train station and motorway networks. For those attending the show as a visitor there are a number of car parks close by and for anyone wanting to make a weekend of it there are a number of hotels within walking distance of the venue meaning you can party Saturday night, walk back to your hotel after and then be within walking distance of the show on the Sunday.

The venue itself is perfect for the show. Inside you will find a large range of carefully selected show cars surrounded by a whole host of trade stands and entertainment. Trade stands this time included local detailing company The Detail Kitchen, Local car brand Das Society alongside some of the big named brands such as Hoonigan and Rotiform. Whatever you are in the market to buy for your car themed needs then you are sure to find it here.

There are also a selection of places to eat or grab a drink on site, as well as many options

located 5 minutes walk away. So there really is something for every taste and budget. This also means you can sit with friends and family and just soak up the atmosphere whilst resting your feet before tackling the rest of the show.

Indoors there are 3 main halls filled with some stunning cars and vans, as well as perfectly placed vehicles along the main walkways. There is something to look at wherever you turn. Whether it is campers that are your thing, or something more classic like beautifully restored pick ups or iconic cars of years gone by, to everyday favourites that have been modified to become something unique for their owners to be proud of, then you will find it here.

Each and every car should be admired for the work that has gone in to it. This year there were some stunning things on show, including fully restored campers, A 1001bhp Audi and the MK1 VW Golf clubs amazing old school builds. Plus one of my favourite stands London Cartel.

As well as the large indoor space to explore, there is also a whole car park outdoors dedicated to more fabulous cars. The outdoor space gives car clubs the chance to showcase members vehicles. It is always popular and there are just as many interesting and unique builds outdoors as there are inside.

If that is still not enough for you I can recommend taking a walk through the local multi- storey car parks too as these are often concealing hidden gems belonging to people who are attending the show.

Hopefully the weather improves for the rest of show season, but Dubs was the perfect way to kick it off.
