So you have got your HGV Licence and are looking to start tramping work.

Here is a list of essentials for every tramper, as recommended by HGV drivers


  • Collapsible Bowl - Multiple uses from washing up, washing yourself, storing items or in emergencies a make shift toilet (You just never know)


  • Toilet Roll as there is always a lack of these in public toilets so best to be prepared


  • Baby wipes have a multitude of uses and cheap enough to always have a stash in the cab

  • Spare change if you stop at a food van who doesn't accept card


  • Binbags always handy to have to keep the cab clean


  • Phone chargers essential bit of kit

  • Pens


  • Spare Clothes


  • Spare bedding


  • Washbag with general hygiene products - toothpaste, deodorant, shower wash, shampoo etc Nail scissors and Tweezers are handy to include


  • Food and Drinks


  • Flipflops for the showers


  • Camping Cutlery - handy to keep in the cab at all times
